Interior Bamboos  Interior bamboos do not mind being grown in pots.
 BAMBUSA tuldoides 'Ventricosa' Can develop "pot belly" internodes.   BAMBUSA vulgaris 'Vittata' Golden culms with green stripes of varying width.  HIBANOBAMBUSA tranquillans 'Shiroshima' Large leaves variegated in cream and green.  INDOCALAMUS tessellatus Max 4' tall largest leaves of any bamboo 24"X4". Adapts to pots.  OTATEA acuminata aztecorum Abundant long narrow leaves obscure culms.  PHYLLOSTACHYS angusta Hard culms used for furniture.  PHYLLOSTACHYS aurea 'Koi' Culms turn from green to yellow after 6 months but the alternating culm grooves remain green  PHYLLOSTACHYS nigra Culms turn jet black after 6 months to 1 year graceful foliage.  PLEIOBLASTUS chino 'Murakamiensis' Leaves highly variegated with white stripes. Some leaves all white. Leaf is usually 25 pct green.  PLEIOBLASTUS shibuyanus 'Tsuboi' A vigorous growing dwarf with rather small white striped leaves.  PSEUDOSASA japonica Erect culms w/ large leaves 12" long x 1.5" less invasive than most runners. Good in pots.  SEMIARUNDINARIA yashadake 'Kimmei' Culms are yellow with green grooves; leaves are yellow striped. |
