October will be a festive month of special bamboo sales for us. On Monday the 13th we will be offering small to medium sized plants of the most colorful and exotic at the San Diego Horticulture Society Meeting in conjunction with a program “Bamboo, the Earth and Us.” For more information go to http://www.sdhortsoc.org/meetings.htm. The cost is $5.00 for non-members.

Then on Saturday the 25th we will offer a large cross section of all our bamboos at the much-anticipated sale by San Diego Chapter of the American Bamboo Society, which also features an auction of rare bamboo. One can often find species that have been newly introduced from other countries after undergoing rigorous inspection and approval by the USDA.
