Bambusa oldhamii, Bambusa, any of the Dendrocalamus varieties, Indocalamus tessalatus.
What is a good bamboo for making a hedge or screen?
Bambusa oldhamii is one of the most common bamboos used for making a hedge. However, it grows up to fifty feet tall and must have a large planting area to survive. There are several varieties of Bambusa multiplex that do not surpass twenty-five feet. All are clumping bamboos and make attractive hedges. We recommend different hedge bamboos for different situations.
What bamboo are suitable for as ground covers?
We have a large variety of spreading dwarf bamboo that works great as a groundcover.
